Clark County Solid Waste Management District Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
If you are a new resident and need a recycle bin; if your bin is broken or has been stolen, recycle bins and lids can be purchased at our office. Recycle bins are $8.00, and new lids are $6.00. Residents may also use their own recycle container, however it must have the word "RECYCLE" on the container and cannot be over 32 gallons in size. Some home centers sell "recycle" stickers and containers.
We accept cash or check payments. Our address is: 9208 Highway 62, Charlestown, IN 47111.
Please set out your recycling by 7:00 a.m. on your recycle pick-up day. Routes run until 5:00 p.m.
Recycling pick up is every other week / twice per month and coincides with the resident's trash service day.

Recycle bins are not collected on July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Routes falling on these holidays will be serviced the next business day.
Welcome to the online home of the Clark County Solid Waste Management District. While overseeing the county recycling programs, the district may have answers to some of your special problem waste and disposal questions.
Clark County Ordinance #1993-OR-34 established the mandatory recycling program in January, 1998. It is a law that all residents of Clark County (Sellersburg, Jeffersonville, and Clarksville) must pay the curb side recycling fee if the resident participates or does not participate in the program. Each household in the curbside area incurs a yearly fee of $34.00, which is now included on the property tax statement. Click here to view or pay your property tax bill online.
